Exchange Policy

At Velavan Hyper Market, we follow a strict exchange-only policy to ensure fairness, hygiene, and product integrity for all customers. Please read carefully before making a purchase.

General Exchange Rules

  • No Refunds. Only Exchange.

  • Exchanges are allowed only once per bill.

  • Exchange requests must be made within 3 days from the date of purchase.

  • The original bill is mandatory for any exchange.

  • Items purchased during offers, discounts, clearance sales, or promotions are NOT eligible for exchange.

Product Condition Requirements

Exchange will be accepted ONLY IF:

  • The item is unused, unwashed, unworn, and in original condition

  • All tags, labels, stickers, packaging, and accessories are intact

  • The product shows no signs of damage, alteration, stains, odor, or wear

Any product failing these conditions will be strictly rejected.

Non-Exchangeable Items (Strictly No Exceptions)

The following items CANNOT be exchanged under any circumstances:

  • Innerwear, lingerie, socks, gloves, nightwear

  • Jewellery (Gold, Silver, Diamond, Fancy Jewellery)

  • Cosmetics, perfumes, personal care products

  • Food items, groceries, chocolates, snacks

  • Footwear once worn or tried outside the store

  • Electronics, home appliances, toys, baby items

  • Furniture, mattresses, custom or made-to-order items

  • Seasonal or festive items

  • Free items or complimentary products

Exchange Value Rules

  • Exchange is allowed only for equal or higher value items

  • If the exchanged product value is higher, the difference must be paid

  • No cash, credit note, or balance adjustment will be provided for lower-value exchanges

Defective or Damaged Items

  • Manufacturing defects must be reported within 24 hours of purchase

  • Damage caused due to handling, usage, negligence, or external factors will not be considered

  • Packaging damage alone does not qualify as a defect

Billing & Verification

  • Exchange is processed only at the original purchase counter

  • Billing date, product category, and condition will be verified by staff

  • Misuse of exchange policy may lead to permanent denial of exchange privileges

Final Authority Clause (Very Important)

The management’s decision shall be final and binding in all exchange-related matters.
No claims, arguments, or disputes will be entertained beyond management approval.

Policy Acceptance

By making a purchase at Velavan Hyper Market, the customer automatically agrees to this Exchange Policy.
No verbal assurances by staff will override this written policy.
